Launch Party May 15, 2013 at ReSomary-beth-4c-gala-450px-1391981urce’s Sharonville Warehouse

Join ReSource on Wednesday, May 15, for hors d’oeuvres and drinks as it unveils two new programs to help further its mission of helping area non-profits.

ReSource is hosting the launch party to introduce the community to a room makeover program and Event Décor Rentals by ReSource, an event rental program.

“We invite the community to join us on May 15 for a big reveal,” said Molly Lohr, ReSource executive director. “We are renovating our showroom so that we can showcase our new event rental program. During the launch party, our guests will see all our rental items on display and will also get to preview our makeover designs. Our all-volunteer design teams will feature mock-ups and renderings of the room remodels that they are planning for two of our member non-profits.”

In this inaugural year of the makeover program, ReSource volunteers will be renovating the living room at the YWCA’s Clermont County women’s shelter, as well as remodeling a room at the Lower Price Hill Community School. The makeover at the YWCA’s shelter is slated for sometime in June with an on-site reveal party planned for soon after. The makeover at the LPHCS is scheduled for May and will transform a room into a college classroom. This space is needed for the College Bridge Program that is a collaboration between the school and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.

“We need additional, college-level classrooms for our Cincinnati State professors to utilize and enjoy,” said Jen Walters, executive director of the LPHCS. “We want the professors and students to feel like they are in a great environment to learn and succeed … but still in our familiar neighborhood.”

For the event rental program, ReSource is opening its warehouse doors to all area non-profits who would like to reduce the cost of decorating for important events. For pennies on the dollar, non-profits can borrow items such as vases, candleholders and centerpieces and repurpose them for their own events.

“Renting ReSource’s wonderful centerpieces allowed us to save over $1,200 in our decorating budget for our recent gala,” said Mary Beth Sundermann, decorations chair of the Champions for Children gala, 4C for Children’s annual fundraiser. 4C for Children was the first non-profit to take advantage of the event décor program.

The May 15 launch party for the new programs runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at ReSource’s Sharonville warehouse. In addition, community members are invited to attend the all-volunteer makeover work sessions and the respective ribbon cuttings.

The work sessions will be held on:
