I’m excited to share this week’s EV resource: FB-Twitter-LinkedIn – Charging 101 So much information but laid out in a clear and easy way. If you are considering becoming an EV owner, you’ll want to download a copy for yourself. As always, take a look at it and let me know if you have any questions.
One of the most common questions about EVs and how they work is about charging. How does it work? What kind of charger do I need? Where are they located? It can be a lot to take in but luckily, EV Cincy (with the help of Forth Mobility, one of our EV Partners in the American Cities Climate Change) has broken this topic down into bite sized portions.
For example, did you know that as of 2019, there were 26 charging locations in Cincinnati with 94 total charging ports? There are even more charging locations in and around Cincinnati today–over the past year, new chargers have been unveiled by companies like Electrada at Findlay Market, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and Fountain Square Garage to name just a few locations.
While they may not be as ubiquitous as your corner filling station, it is much easier than most people think to find public charging stations. There are a number of apps you can download to your phone to give you information on the stations and their port availability.
Armed with the information in this week’s mission, you can help answer questions from your friends and family on the basics of EV charging.
Enjoy and thanks,
Your EV Cincy Ambassador!
