The economy has recovered and sustainability is back on the table. Maybe not so much because energy prices have never been lower but there is always that lingering feeling in the build environment.

BASF and Benjamin Moore have a lot of sessions. A chemical company and a paint company. BASF offers free Environmental Product Declarations to any concrete that uses their additives. We’ll see what Benjamin Moore is offering.
I’m here to report on the event and will focus on those that have invited me to visit their booth as well as the sessions I find interesting. Those are summarized in this I emailed Steelcase, “There’s a lot of buzz since last Greenbuild around improving employee performance. If a company has a net-zero energy and water building they are only saving 10% of their total company costs. 90% of a company’s expense is in their employees. If you can improve performance 10% in your employees you’ve already matched the savings of having zero expense for your building. It should be much easier to improve employee performance versus an energy, water and waste free building.”
