ReSource By The River

ChuckLohreOne Source Center for Nonprofit Excellence, ReSource Non-Profit Organization Help

Dear Friend/Colleague:

ReSource will be returning to the banks of the Ohio River for our annual celebration of service to Cincinnati’s nonprofit community. Our annual event, ReSource By The River will take place on Saturday October 5th at the Cincinnati Parks pavilion right next to the Montgomery Inn Boathouse. The event promises to be another fun evening. Dean Gregory will be taking care of us this year with delicious food stations featuring special wine and craft beer pairings. The business casual evening begins at 7pm. We hope you can attend!

As you know, one of the key elements of success for an event like this is to have wonderful hosts and hostesses. We would be honored if you would agree to serve in this role. It’s easy to be a Host or Hostess! You can show your support of ReSource and its mission by allowing us to use your name on the invitation. Then we would ask you to come join the fun by purchasing a ticket to the event. We certainly encourage you to invite friends and colleagues to help us celebrate. A list of 5-10 friends to put on our invitation list would be appreciated. Providing email addresses will facilitate sending out a save-the-date announcement to your friends as well.

greensource Cincinnati LEED® Platinum Presentation Aug 21

ChuckLohreGreensource CINCINNATI

July 8, 2013, Cincinnati, OH – greensource Cincinnati announced today that it has been awarded LEED® Platinum established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute. LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

In 2008, company president Ez Housh had the idea to purchase an old building in downtown Cincinnati, renovate it to LEED Platinum standards for energy-efficiency, and give people a place where they could go to see “green” technology in action. Thus greensource Cincinnati was born. What began as an idea to use the first floor of the building as a “showroom” quickly blossomed into a robust technology showcase on all 4 floors. Manufacturers and technology partners heard about the concept and the most viable renewable technologies were hand-selected for space in the building.

Review: “Designing B2B Brands” for Green marketing communications

ChuckLohreGreen Building Marketing

Branding lessons from Deloitte and 195,000 brand managers, by Carlos Martinez Onaindia & Brian Resnick.

HOW Magazine introduced us to this 2013 book published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., it’s about Deloitte’s branding and its implementation throughout the organization. We saw an ad on HOW’s website.

Carlos Martinez Onaindia & Brian Resnick worked for Deloitte while writing the book.

Hubspot included Deloitte and GE websites in one of its promotional blog posts and we recognize them as a good examples of industrial marketing communications design. It’s great news that we can go into more detail with one of our choices.

Cincinnati Tool Bank

ChuckLohreCincinnati Tool Bank

The Cincinnati Community ToolBank is pleased to announce that PNC Bank has made a contribution that will allow all tool orders submitted to the ToolBank in the month of May to be free of charge.

“Our clients are going to love the month of May, said Kat Pepmeyer, Cincinnati Community ToolBank executive director. “The generosity shown by PNC Bank to sponsor any tool order we receive will likely lead to us shattering our internal records for rentals in a month.”

The Cincinnati Community ToolBank is a non-profit organization that strives to be the premiere local tool lending resource, serving charitable organizations in the greater Cincinnati area. The ToolBank “loans” its inventory of tools to local non-profit agencies, community service organizations, and religious groups to enable them to undertake larger projects that make our community a better place to live.
