One thing you’ll see there is vintage IKEA. We’re looking for some vintage pieces for the show. Facebook has a Vintage IKEA page. We’ve always been impressed with IKEA’s early adoption of sustainable qualities and its especially important because of the high quality of IKEA designs.
Here’s a list of “Coveted Sustainability” that may be included:
Sojourner Cyclery award winning walnut bicycle
Cradle To Cradle products
CENDUSI Native Ghana Baskets
Vintage IKEA Furniture and decoratives
Epiphany Shower Systems
Urban Forestry Products by Liam Knecht
GoSun solar stove outdoor cooking display for the back porch
Patagonia – Sustainable clothing
Unilux world’s highest performance windows
Candy Wrapper hand bags
Shaker Village practical home and farm objects like their furniture, tin objects and brooms.
Nest thermostats
Lenox pellet stoves
Globe Wernicke office furniture
Big Ass Fans
Longaberger Baskets
The whole idea came from attending a day long Mid-Century Modern seminar at the Cincinnati Art Museum. We realized that the public doesn’t realize that sustainability is beautiful and coveted. We want to include sustainable art objects you would want to steal.
The show will be at 126A West 14th Street, 2nd Floor.
