During the Summer, CO2 Levels are over 600 Parts Per Million in Cincinnati
Visited with some of the vendors to learn more about the ARC system and what it takes to implement. It’s not a free program. You will pay between $1,200 or more depending on if you are a member of the USGBC. But you can’t learn about it at these sites: https://arcskoru.com or https://app.arconline.io. We’ll donate the fees to the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati.
We’ve monitored the CO2 over the last two years in our office. Trying to keep the parts per million below 600 but you can’t do that in the Summer. The CO2 levels are higher than that and even more when there is a high pressure front over Cincinnati. The CO2 levels are lower when a low pressure system just passed, bring fresh cold air from the northwest. Our office was included in the “Top Ten Greenest Projects in the World” article by GreenBiz.
Nic Barnes tells us about his product that monitors C02, VOC and Particulate Matter in the atmosphere. He’s going to send us a monitoring proposal after we send them the plans for the museum. We’ll start by measuring the CO2 in the offices and then decide how to monitor the exhibit spaces. From zero people to standing room only, museum centers are hard to plan for.
Wrapping up, we’re attending the presentation about how Greenbuild makes the event more sustainable. Which includes everything from encouraging reuse of pallets to recyclable cardboard graphic panels instead of paper laminated with unrecyclable plastic foam.
