Cincinnati’s 43rd Annual
Earth Day Celebration
April 20, 2013

Cincinnati’s 43rd Annual Earth Day celebration is noon to 5 p.m., April 20, at Sawyer Point, rain or shine.

Registration is open but will end on March 16 so hurry up and register if you have not already. Don’t be the one that is left out.

Below are some new events for the 2013 Earth Day. If you would like to participate or need more information please contact us.

Zero Waste Event – Recycle, Reuse, Reduce: The 2013 event will be a zero waste event. Please help us achieve that goal. Bins will be placed throughout the event for recycling and composting. The use of plastic and styrofoam may not be used at the event. Need more details – let us know.

Earth Day Scavenger Hunt – Want more visitors to stop at your tent area? Visitors who wish to play will be required to go to each participating location, learn something, and then receive a stamp or signature. Exhibitors/Vendors who wish to increase traffic to their tent will be listed on the scavenger hunt form. Exhibitors/Vendors who wish to play must supply own stamp or signature. Visitors who complete the scavenger hunt will receive a small prize. Let us know if you want to be on the list.

Run for the Earth 3k (1.8 miles) – Exercise is good. Open to anybody who wants to walk or run the 3k on April 20th at 12:20pm. Cost is $20 if registered before April 1. Cost is $25 if register after April 1. Completion of waiver is required. All participants will receive a official earth day shirt.

Talker Series – Education is a the main part of Earth Day. We are looking for a few more presenters. If interested please contact us about your presentation and time slot.

Gift Bags – Want to advertise your business? We will be distributing gift bags to volunteers, contest winners, educators ,etc. Every item that goes into the gift bag is donated by local companies. If you would like to donate an item(s) please let us know. The item must be someway related to the Earth (recycled, local food, crafts, literature, etc). You are allowed to put your contact information on the product.
