Green Cincinnati organized a trip to visit Dayton Children’s Outpatient Care Center Springboro, the first medical center to achieve LEED Certification in our Region. Cathy Lewis, Center Manager, showed us around the building. The Architect for the project was David Glover of Pinnacle Architects and he also met us for the tour. Click here for a slide show.
From the USGBC Cincinnati Regional newsletter, “Befitting a medical facility, this project earns a large proportion of its LEED credits in the category Indoor Environmental Quality. Other credits are earned for enhanced commissioning, water use reduction, and the installation of a cool roof.
Web site and address for the Center: www.childrensdayton.org, 3333 West Tech Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342, (937) 641-5725
