March 21, 2011 – Cincinnati Zoo, the first large scale integrated parking lot solar electric installation in our region. You would have to go to Las Vegas to see another at the Springs Preserve. We’ll meet at the Harold C. Schott Education Center entrance at 5:30 p.m., then go visit the Go Green Garden at the LEED Platinum Entrance Village and then go check out the new parking lot solar panels. The tour will be over at 6:30. There is no charge for the tour. The focus of the conversation will be the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design point checklists and will help you prepare for the USGBC Green Associate test. A donation is made to the Zoo education department by Green Cincinnati Education Advocacy for our admission to the Zoo.
