Affordable LEED Platinum certified home

The Sacramento Habitat for Humanity earned LEED Platinum certification for this home by focusing on strategies to conserve water.

Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, is a proud home sponsor for Sacramento Habitat for Humanity. The donation from Sims helped to fund the construction of an affordable LEED Platinum certified home for the Thao/Yang family. The home dedication ceremony will take place this Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at 7489 Carella Drive, Sacramento, CA 95822. The Thao/Yang family will host a luncheon immediately following the dedication.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification is an independent, third-party verification that a building or home was designed and constructed using environmentally friendly building practices. The Sacramento Habitat for Humanity earned LEED Platinum certification for this home by focusing on strategies to conserve water.
